What is the best vFairs alternative in 2026?

Who holds the pencil for a small change

Two things are documented here and both belong on the page. A customer: "I would prefer that vFair set up the web blocks and let the customer be able to edit text as needed to help speed up the process. Minor changes had to be constantly rerouted to team, when it would have taken a simple step to correct ourselves, this increased our timelines" (Capterra 4.0, 27 June 2025). The vendor, replying in public to a critical review: "vFairs is designed to be self-serve, with many modules built using drag-and-drop functionality", while granting that "there can still be a learning curve, especially for non-technical users" (vFairs on G2, 7 April 2026).

The pricing page states the model without hedging. A dedicated project manager comes with all plans and for all events. That is what the quote buys, and for plenty of teams it is the right purchase.

What changes when an agent holds it

Attendu's agent makes the change itself. You describe the event and it creates the event record, builds and publishes the registration page, imports and segments the guest list, writes and sends the invitations, opens ticketing and configures check-in. Ask it to move a section, restyle the header or add a consent checkbox, and it edits the template through the same builder route the organizer app uses. Its own one-shot flow warns you the registration page takes about 30 seconds.

vFairs shipped an MCP server in July 2026: beta with around 50 customers, general availability due in August, added as a custom connector in your assistant, and scoped to the permissions you already hold. It is read only, and Event Tech Live put it best: "an agent can ask, it cannot act" (21 July 2026). Attendu's server reaches the same operations through the same allowlist that drives the chat agent, which is why it writes as well as reads. It is gated too: it runs on workspaces an operator has switched it on for, and there is no public install today.

Who should stay on vFairs

Job fairs, exhibitions and large virtual programs where a partner team carries the build and the event day. The service layer is measured rather than asserted: Capterra scores customer service 4.9 out of 5 across 631 reviews, and reviewers name their project managers in the review title. One review shows the shape of the work: "vFairs helped us manage the exhibitors, sponsors and registrants for a full-day conference with more than 54 workshop sessions and 650 attendees" (Capterra, 30 June 2026).

What switching actually involves

vFairs exports attendee and speaker data as CSV (help.vfairs.com, checked 17 August 2026). Both import here. Guests go up through one spreadsheet dialog and speakers through another, each one mapping the spreadsheet's headings onto the fields here, and the guest import checks incoming addresses against the event and hands you the duplicates to accept or skip. Agenda items load the same way.

Your virtual venue, the booths, the webcasts, the registration forms and the branding stay with vFairs. Nothing here imports them, and no copy function exists to bring a whole event over.
